REPRESENTING A RICH HERITAGE

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is a twin island country on the southern edge of the Caribbean chain of islands.

It is said that here in these islands "every creed and race finds an equal place". This cosmopolitan country is filled of Indians, Africans, Chinese, Lebanese and the list continues so much so that it was dubbed a rainbow nation.

But the raw undeniable beauty of Trinidad and Tobago lies past its warm seas, beautiful beaches and attractive sunsets. It is embedded in the strength, beauty and warmth of its people that is reflected in their vibrancy yet inexplainable calmness.

To represent TRINBAGO and all that it stands for is to become a part of the
Red Black and White People

One does not necessarily become a part of the Red, Black and White People by birth. Any person who understands what it takes to be a 'true trini', any person who wants to, can be indoctrinated into a culture rich in history and traditions that is captivating and unique.

The Red Black and White People represent a nation whose black soils have been toiled by slaves and indentured laborers from India and China. Bands of flowing red have crossed the stage in Queen's Park on Carnival Monday and Tuesday.
White foamed, deep blue waves with have brushed up on our shores, carrying people searching for a new start, a new life and new opportunities.

Standing firm supporting our people even through the worst and low times. Struggling for survival in a world clouded by globalisation, crime, climate change, HIV/AIDS, poverty. Able to stand calm and clear headed enough to have a cup of corn soup, a doubles with slight pepper, or plan the next lime up to Caura, while the world around us is crumbling. Knowing when to speak your mind and when to just stay quiet and take the jamming. Simply understanding the art of eating a chicken roti without a knife and fork...believe it or not these are some of the things that identifies a person representing Trinbago and a part of the Red Black and White People
